Slava Savkovsky graduated from Alabama A&M University (Huntsville, Ala.) in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in English and from Cherkassy Institute of Management (Cherkassy, Ukraine) in 1999 with a Specialist's degree in Translation. Slava has worked with the Cherkassy church of Christ since 1999 as a preacher, Bible teacher and translator. His other duties include personal evangelism, benevolence, visitation, and church property maintenance. In 2003 he started going to the congregation in Smela as a visiting preacher.
